MOPA Color Studio is used by people actively configuring laser engraving jobs โ exactly the audience looking at new machines. If you make or sell laser engravers, the Spotlight Program is a way to put your product in front of them.
This document explains what's on offer, how it works, what it costs, and what you'll get. If you want to skip to signing up, head to the vendors page.
The program has three parts. The first you buy. The second you earn. The third you might get.
This is the listing you sign up for.
Each Product Spotlight is a card showing one of your machines. The card includes:
Each wattage variant counts as a separate Product Spotlight. If your 60W and 100W versions are sold as different products with different SKUs and different prices, they're separate listings. This matches how you already sell them.
All of them. The site's centre of gravity is MOPA fiber โ including dual-laser machines that combine a MOPA source with a diode. We also list UV, CO2, diode, galvo, and standard fiber Q-switched machines. If it engraves, it's welcome.
30 days from your purchase date. No auto-renewal trying to catch you off-guard, no commitment past 30 days. To keep going, you renew. To stop, do nothing โ the listing ends cleanly at the end of its window.
If your 30 days lands on a weekend or public holiday, the spotlight runs until end of the next business day. No timezone games.
One photo per Product Spotlight. Please supply:
| Spec | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | 1:1 square |
| Minimum size | 1200 ร 1200 pixels |
| Format | JPG or PNG |
| File size | Under 500 KB ideally |
| Composition | Machine centred, neutral or white background preferred |
You'll get a reminder email about a week before your spotlight expires. To renew, purchase another 30-day window on the same machine. Annual subscribers don't need to do anything until the twelve windows are up โ the renewals are built in.
Once you've purchased a 30-day window, it's locked in. We don't offer mid-window cancellation, and we don't offer refunds โ partial, full, or otherwise. Your spotlight runs the full window regardless.
The single exception is on our side: if your spotlight never went live because of a technical issue we caused, get in touch and we'll sort it out case by case.
This is the bigger prize.
A magazine-style editorial card that profiles your brand on the homepage and the vendors page. Bigger and richer than a Product Spotlight card, designed to tell your story rather than push a single machine.
Brand overview โ 2 to 3 sentences.
Brand story โ 1 to 2 paragraphs covering your origins, your history with fiber lasers, and what makes your brand distinctive.
"Optional founder quote" โ Name, Title
So you know what's coming: one large hero image anchors the left, two supporting detail images stack on the right, and your brand copy sits beneath it all.
There is no way to pay for a Vendor Spotlight on its own. The path is always: list three or more machines on Product Spotlight, then receive the Vendor Spotlight as the reward for doing so.
Once you hit three active Product Spotlights for the first time, we'll email you a link to a short content form. It asks for:
After submitting the form, email us your images (see specs below).
Four image files total:
| Image | Aspect ratio | Min size | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo | 1:1 square | 1000 ร 1000 px | PNG (transparent bg preferred) |
| Hero image | 16:9 widescreen | 1920 ร 1080 px | JPG or PNG |
| Detail 1 | 16:9 widescreen | 1920 ร 1080 px | JPG or PNG |
| Detail 2 | 16:9 widescreen | 1920 ร 1080 px | JPG or PNG |
Before your Vendor Spotlight is published, we'll send you a preview (either a private staging link or a screenshot) showing exactly how your card will appear. You review, request any changes, and approve. Nothing goes live until you've said yes.
If you want changes after publishing, email us โ minor edits and image swaps are honoured within 48 business hours, no extra cost. Significant rewrites may require a fresh preview round before going live.
Your Vendor Spotlight is paused. Your content stays on file, so the moment you bring your active count back to three, the spotlight reappears โ no resubmission needed.
This is the smallest piece, and it's not something you can apply for.
Occasionally we'll add a small "Editor's Pick" badge to a Product Spotlight card. It's our way of saying we think a particular machine is worth a closer look โ interesting feature, distinctive value, something we admire.
You can't request one. There's no checkbox, no upgrade tier, no fee. We pick these editorially when we feel like picking them. Some Product Spotlights get one, most don't, and stretches will go by with no picks at all. The badge keeps its meaning because it's used sparingly and by us.
Editor's Picks are only available on machines that currently have a paid Product Spotlight. If your spotlight expires, the badge stops showing automatically.
All Spotlight Program inquiries go through the form on the vendors page. We'll respond within a few business days.
